As a little girl, I used to anxiously await the Thanksgiving holiday, pestering my mother to get me to grandma and grandpa’s house as soon as I was out of bed. If you’d asked me then, I’d probably have said that it was all for the pumpkin pie. Really, it was because of the traditions that my grandmother built with me. Stuffed into her tiny kitchen, I relished every task she’d send my way. Setting the table, being allowed to put the marshmallows on the sweet potatoes, and of course helping to serve dessert.
On Thanksgiving, I still feel the same contentment I used to feel in my grandmother’s cramped and overheated kitchen. Although I’ve added some traditions of my own.
Including taking a few moments every year to say “Thank You” to all of our wonderful RMS customers. All of us at RMS are grateful for our extended family of pharmacy customers all year round, but we probably don’t say it enough. We’re lucky to get to spend our days working with such an amazing group of people.
