Next week we’ll be traveling to San Antonio, TX for this year’s annual AAP Member Conference. This is always one of my favorite shows of the year for several reasons. First, the members that attend this show are some of the most active, business-minded pharmacy owners we work with, and our customer base continually grows year after year. Second, it’s exciting to meet a lot of my customers that I’ve never had the fortune of meeting in person! And third, AAP typically holds their shows at interesting locations, and one of the aspects of my job that I really enjoy is the travel. Though I’ve been to San Antonio in the past, I’ve always enjoyed the Tex-Mex culture, visiting the Alamo, and last but not least, the fantastic Mexican food!
If you’ve never been to San Antonio, I highly recommend it. The heart of San Antonio is the Riverwalk, which is right downtown. As their website says:
The San Antonio River Walk is a public park, open 365 days a year. It is a network of walkways along the banks of the San Antonio River, one story beneath approximately 5 miles of downtown San Antonio. Lined by bars, shops and restaurants, the River Walk is an important part of the city’s urban fabric and a tourist attraction in its own right.
The River Walk winds and loops under bridges as two parallel sidewalks, lined with restaurants, shops, hotels and more. It connects the major tourist draws from the Alamo to Rivercenter Mall, Arneson River Theatre and La Villita, the San Antonio Museum of Art, and the Pearl Brewery.
This year’s tradeshow should be even more exceptional, as we are holding an RMS Workshop on Thursday, April 25 from 1-3pm. It’s open to all independent pharmacies interested in learning more about RMS’ technologies and services.
For those that are attending, here’s a bonus: mention this Blog article, and I’ll make sure you get a special RMS gift!
Second bonus: All AAP members, as always, receive a 5% system discount, but will also get an added show special – ask us for details!
Hope to see you in San Antonio!!
