I’ve had glasses for a long time, and although I don’t need them all the time, they are a requirement for me to drive.  When I went in for my regular eye exam last month, I mentioned that I was experiencing some eye fatigue at work, fully expecting that it was just a result of staring at brightly lit monitors for 8 hours a day.  Instead, I was told that I now needed two prescriptions.  One for driving, and one for reading.

I was skeptical. I can see fine up close.  No problems.  But I went ahead and ordered a pair of glasses with the new prescription.  When I put on my new reading glasses for the first time, I was surprised to see just how much of a difference they made.  I was probably squinting at my monitors all day and not even realizing it.

My glasses help me to see more clearly. It’s such a simple solution that can yield life changing results. Unfortunately, in our businesses, we can’t just put on a special pair of glasses and clearly see all the problems and inefficiencies that are hiding just beneath the surface.   But you do have something even better.  Or at least you should.  The reports your Pharmacy POS system can generate can help you to see details that might otherwise get lost in the day to day running of your pharmacy.  Are you utilizing this data to help you run your pharmacy more efficiently?  If not, why not?
